MSM-Healthcare Student Experience

The MSM-Healthcare is for students who wish to continue working full time while pursuing their degree. They experience the Weatherhead curriculum during evening classes, many of which overlap with the curriculum of our respected part-time MBA program. The MSM-Healthcare class will form a single cohort but will also have the chance to make connections with members of the part-time MBA student body, a group diverse in interests and experience.

Students enjoy one-on-one interaction with academic pioneers and industry leaders. Our faculty excel in teaching as well as research, and the opportunity to share their insights into exciting areas of management science is one that Weatherhead students prize. Read some of these experiences in Life at Weatherhead, a blog written by current students and alumni.

Career Resources

Weatherhead’s Career Management Office invites you to participate in on-campus career fairs, attend employer information sessions on and off-campus, and engage with professional associations throughout the city of Cleveland. Read more about Career Management.

An additional benefit to our the MSM-Healthcare student experience will be access to dynamic members of the Cleveland healthcare community through the Dialogues in Healthcare Leadership course, which will bring local leaders to campus as guest speakers.

GBSA and Student Clubs

The active Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) along with Student Clubs provide opportunities for professional development, local community service activities, engagement with employers and social gatherings such as cultural dinners, happy hours and wine tastings with sommeliers.

Incoming students can run for a GBSA leadership position or join, revive or start a new student club with the assistance of the Weatherhead Student Experience Office. Here's a list of the student clubs:

Around the Neighborhood

Weatherhead is nestled in the heart of Cleveland and its arts and cultural district — University Circle — students enjoy living, learning and playing in one of the most concentrated areas of health care, education, and arts and culture in the world. University Circle boasts 15 museums and cultural institutions like the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Museum of Art, four medical centers including the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, 10 religious organizations, more than 30 restaurants, and a total of eight education centers.

Weatherhead is also within walking distance of the city's "new downtown" called Uptown. Uptown includes emerging favorite spots such as a specialty market, a local ice cream shop, pubs, the campus bookstore, the city’s new Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and casual- to fine-dining restaurant options.
