Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI)
Founded by the Jesuit Society in 1949, and located in the 'steel city' of Jamshedpur, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) is among India's oldest and most prestigious schools for postgraduate education in human resources and business management. From its inception, XLRI seeks to develop a breed of leaders-entrepreneurs who will be guided by the greater good rather than only by narrow self or organizational interests.
A distinguishing feature of XLRI—a fully residential school—is the sense of community and togetherness it fosters among all members of its academic community: students, faculty, and supporting staff. The XLRI-community is made up of 600 residential students selected on the basis of perhaps the toughest selection process anywhere, and 70 full-time professors distinguished in their respective disciplines.
