World Inquiry is a collection of stories on business innovations in the realms of sustainability and social entrepreneurship. World Inquiry includes hundreds of stories and thousands of interviews (and counting) and is used by business schools and businesses to find effective ideas that can be replicated. Weatherhead, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Notre Dame, and IE use the Innovation Bank in their coursework by having students gather stories to add to the collection. Students meanwhile learn the practical how-to’s of doing well by doing good.
The World Inquiry into business as an agent of world benefit is a worldwide action-research initiative that uses Appreciative Inquiry (AI) to learn more about the role of business in society. The best of the uncovered innovations are profiled in the Innovation Bank.
Showcase of Sustainable Business Innovation
By showcasing the best in business-in-society innovations, The World Inquiry sparks conversations about the role and potential of business to act as an agent of world benefit.
We are especially interested in the following questions:
- How differently will the world’s environment and the quality of life of its people appear to you when business serves as an agent of community and world benefit?
- How can companies create a healthy environment and healthy profit margins through use of the means and tools of Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship?
What do you think?
The World Inquiry invites answers to these questions. It is our belief that the sharing of ideas and innovations will promote new thinking, conversations, connections, and learning that will lead the world toward a healthy and peaceful future. You can participate by submitting a story to the World Inquiry’s Innovation Bank.
