Welcome to the home page of the Banking and Finance Department of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
As you can see from the Course Offerings, the department offers a wide variety of courses in the MBA program. Our undergraduate course offerings are relatively small, but the Undergraduate program is ranked as one of the best in the United States. The Department's teaching style is eclectic -- straight lecture and discussion, case method, student team presentation -- depending on the nature of the material to be covered and the skill set to be enhanced. The faculty are encouraged to innovate in both course material and delivery.
The faculty have a wide range of research interests, from the microstructure of the stock markets, derivative markets and risk management to corporate and bank mergers. Each faculty member offers advanced courses in the research area in which he/she works.
