Executive Master of Business Administration
Our goal at the Weatherhead School of Management is to inspire leaders who possess the skills and insights organizations need to prosper. The Weatherhead Executive MBA is designed specifically for the experienced professional.
The program addresses an executive’s need for flexibility, integration, and practical application. As an Executive MBA student, you will experience a dynamic community of faculty, business partners, and alumni. These groups—representing true global diversity—interact in a lock-step collaborative setting that promotes a vibrant exchange of ideas and constant exploration of new ways to work together.
Ideal Candidates
Participants are admitted to the Executive MBA program once a year. Admission is based on the following criteria:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience, with at least five years involving substantial managerial responsibilities
- Potential for career advancement/senior managerial position
- Ability to participate in and contribute to an intensive learning environment
- Time and willingness to make a two-year commitment to attend classes, study group meetings, and other required activities
- Evidence of the ability to complete graduate-level coursework. The Executive MBA Admissions Committee may request that an applicant complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) to help fulfill this criterion. Applicants who do not have an undergraduate degree from an accredited academic institution will be required to take the GMAT.

Time Committment
The Executive MBA program requires a serious time commitment from each participant. Although individual study habits vary, candidates should anticipate devoting a minimum of 20 hours per week to study outside of classes. Participants will also meet with their study groups on class days and for distance learning assignments.
