The Value of Participating as an Action Learning Client Organization

By participating in this program, your company has an opportunity to affect ways we train tomorrow's leaders. In return, our students will help you to find a solution to a specific business problem using the latest problem solving techniques and business tools available.

Weatherhead Action Learning Teams can provide your business with:

  • An in-depth analysis with recommendations, delivered in a short time frame - at no charge!
  • A fresh look at a business problem through the eyes of an unbiased team!

Client Liaison Responsibility

The project liaison serves as the primary contact for the student team, meeting with them on a regular basis to scope the project, provide relevant information and monitor progress. The liaison ensures the team is given the necessary resources to complete the project and arranges a final meeting at which time the student team will present their findings to members of your organization's management group. At the end of the project the client liaison participates in the grading process of the student team by submitting a team evaluation form.

Feedback from some of our satisfied clients:

"For fresh out-of-the-box thinking on an organization's challenges, you can't get a more cost-effective source than Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management Action Learning Program. Working with a small team of graduate students is an invigorating experience and their work is first-rate. I strongly recommend any business needing an outside look at a challenge get involved."

"The Product delivered by the MBA team's twelve-week program was thoughtful, actionable and reasonable. Some of the solutions discussed during the iterative process of the project were implemented immediately and some found their way into my long-range plans.

The team was fantastic to work with. They were professional, respectful of each other's ideas and dedicated to the project. Their level of enthusiasm was refreshing and infectious!"

"The Action Learning Program allowed us to tap into a great resource that provided additional insights and energy to our project. The team, interdisciplinary and multi-cultural, got right to the task with a professional approach that one would typically expect only from paid consultants.

The project's results have been very helpful in our planning of the follow-on actions. We look forward to working with the program in the future."
